Thank you for visiting the Métis Nation of Ontario Grand River Métis Council website.
The GRMC represents Métis citizens in the Grand River area as a chartered council of Region 9 (see our exact catchment area here). We are a council of volunteers who support Métis citizens, host council meetings, and plan community events for our area.
The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is the government of Métis people and communities in Ontario, visit the website here.
Métis people who are residents of Ontario can file an application for MNO citizenship.
In order to carry out the work outlined in The Statement of Prime Purpose, the MNO established a province-wide infrastructure to deliver programs and services for Métis people in Ontario. Healing and Wellness program is part of the Grand River Métis Council. See a full list and locations of MNO programs and services here.
GRMC CALENDAR
Upcoming council events are listed on the GRMC Calendar. We hold monthly council meetings which you can find on the calendar by using the month arrows at the top of the calendar. Métis citizens are welcome to attend.
For our community we host various events that are open to everyone (Métis or not). Become part of our community! On the calendar and through link below we also post events held by other organizations that we believe may be of interest to our community members.
